new 2007 Superb 1.8T Classic settings

Featured Replies

Hi all,

with the newly acquired Superb 1.8T, having owned a Toledo, i thot that i would be able to program the following like the Toledo, but the dealer was not able to do so via the VAG-Com.

does anyone know if there is a possibility to set the following for our superbs?

1) to have the dash/ internal lights all the time (not only when the headlights are on)

2) to have the horn beep when you unlock/lock the doors

3) to use the horn as the alarm

as i had all the above for my SEAT Toledo, i was surprised that the Superb was not able to have them, does anyone have any idea how to set the Superb for these?

thanks, guys

No.

Yes if the oem anti-theft system is equipped.

3) to use the horn as the alarm

Which horn? Horn and alarm siren are 2 different systems, and you can't just switch between them.

I'm having a hard time to believe that your Toledo did all this.

yup, my 2002 toledo 1.6 was generously specced even with motion sensor in the car.

i believe my classic trim does not have the anti-theft system that is why it cannot set the beep for door open/unlock and for the alarm

for the toledo, all these including the dash lights were as standard.

i didn't know the superb wasn't as well specced.... considering the price difference from the toledo....

Yep, the Toledo's dash is always illuminated. Its easy to do this on the Superb though by pulling the headlight switch out and connecting the illumination feed to the ignition live. I'll be doing a how-to for when I do this in my Passat. :)
