If I buy a new head unit, will it automatically be compatible with the CD Autochanger?

If you are fitting an aftermarket headunit e.g. Sony, Kenwood et. al. then probably not.

I feel it would be unlikely. I've not come across one before - but then I've never really looked ;). I know that you can get them to go the other way i.e. from a factory head unit to an aftermarket CD changer.
