EVO dump valve

Featured Replies

i hope someone can shed some little on this mysterious problem. I recently fitted a Bailey Evo twin pistion dump valve to my Octy RS. I sounded great for about two minutes then seemed to stick. After a few days i switched to another of the same, but sticking again. I now run a GRP A twin pistion competition dump valve. It is slightly quieter but no problem as yet! (touch wood)

Is there a atmospheric dump valve that anyone recommends?

Cheers

Atmospheric DV's are generally considered to be unsuitable for the Octy RS. You need a re-circulating DV :)

I thought atmospheric dv's will mess up the maf?

You could try an ABD Hybrid DV....IIRC it vents part into the airbox and partly to the atmosphere. Be aware though it'll only work on a standard RS....not a remapped one...I don't think it holds boost properly.

RS require a DV as opposed to a BOV......using the wrong one you could do major damage to your turbo I believe.
