Just bought an Octavia 1.9tdi estate, 100,000 miles but in great condition:) ..apart from suspension knocks when going over manhole covers or drains etc!:(

Are you sure its your suspension. The radiator mounts and brackets, are a regular breaking part. Give your radiator a wobble, see if it knocks against anything.
