Fabia - Module incorrectly coded ?

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a strange problem. I own Fabia 1.4 16V 2001 (AUB) with ABS, airbag and AC.

But look here:

Address 01 -------------------------------------------------------

Controller: 036 906 034 BK

Component: MARELLI 4LV 3335

Coding: 00095

Shop #: WSC 59773

TMBND26Y113103186 SKZ7Z0Y0561044

1 Fault Found:

18020 - Engine Control Module Incorrectly Coded

P1612 - 35-00 - -

Why 00095 instead of the normal 00071 ??

Of course I noticed the AC is not working, so I made an OBD check. Are there any other side effects of this 18020 ? Like fuel consumption, power, etc?

I tried to recode with 00071 but AC still dead. Button lights up but compressor not working. In autumn AC worked perfect.

I read on forums, looks like a common problem for early Fabias AUB, but no real/honest explanation.

Any ideas?

Everything works OK after recode with 00071. I tried it now. Very funny
