my skoda is model 2003 , automatic , 1.6 MPI , actually i am having slight vibration in the steering wheel with soft braking , but no vibration at all while speeding or decreasing speed , only thhe vibration shows while touching the brakes gently , doesn't show with hard brake., taking into consideration that tires are in good shape only 20000 km old ,

thhe brake pads are new , no appearent deformation the front discs , all 4 shock absorbers recently replaced , also tie rods and arms replaced.

Similar on my Octavia. Solved with a wheel alignment and wheel balancing.
