Featured Replies

can anybody please tell me if you can have the 140 bhp octavia upgraded to increase the bhp without creating any problems to the rest of the engine. IS the vrs 170 bhp the same 2.0 ltr engine and if so how have they got the xtra 30 bhp from this unit . will the 2.o ltr 140 bhp take the xtra bhp and how much wuold this cost thanks carl.

The 140 and 170 are different.

You could have a remap which will modify the software on the engine control unit to more optimum settings.

Do some research on remap around here and you'll get some reviews.

The PD140 engine is a great engine to tune and mine is running 327bhp at the moment with no engine problems so far. Personally i reckon the PD140 is a better engine then the PD170 before you even take into account the nightmare particle filter on the PD170.

Yep, the PD140 is easily tunable with a remap for circa 180bhp, and fairly easy to take further with a turbo etc.

The PD140 and the PD170 are quite different though. The main difference being the use of piezo injectors in the PD170. :)
