I'm new to the forum and firstly wanted to say hello to all, secondly I am going to purchase an Octavia in the next few months, it will be the TDI for 15,000 miles per year and so I can tow a caravan but I haven't decided on estate or hatch yet but my question is this, around the Wigan area are there any Skoda dealers/Skoda specialists anyone can recommend as I will probably visit them and let them find me a car rather than trawling the internet looking for one as the decent low mileage TDi's seem to be few and far between. Probably looking at a 2002/2003 model and really like the look of the Blueline special edition.

Don't worry too much about "low mileage" cos the diesels just eat miles. I bought on 62_000, and the car was "like new" apart from the front tyres not being the originals, and maybe the brake pads.

More to the point would be to understand the TDi badge colouring:-

All silver - 90bhp, ~150lbft

red i - 110bhp, 185lbft

red Di - 130bhp, 225lbft

All as standard; a remap can add 30bhp and 40 lbft to the 90 or the 110, 40bhp and lots of torque to the 130.
