After finally buying the cd changer magazine (didnt come with the car) the cd player only plays on one slot. All the others come up surface. I have checked the cd's and they are fine, any ideas whats wrong?

Does the cd that plays in slot1 play if you put it in slot 6.

Get someone to stand by the changer as you select another disk, does the mechanism work?

Just been speaking to a guy at a ICE repair place re my problems (see the symphony/cdchanger/fascia post) and apparently the most common problems with these changers is the mechanical side of things that tends to jam. It sounds like this could be your problem so it may be a case of stripping it apart and having a tinker!

I swapped the cd that works abot and it works in different slots. I have checked all the other cd's and they work in the house but not the car!

Are you using original CD's as opposed to backups? Some machines are sensitive about backups on CDr. Try using only originals and see if that helps.
