Misfire

Featured Replies

Any one know if the injectors on a pd130 will be covered by warranty ....might have one gone as it's not firing on one cylinder...and no smoke so no fuel going in

injectors will be covered by warranty

Fairly common on that engine. What can happen due to the way the injector is mounted into the head (clamped on one side) the massive force on the injector it actually pitches over ever so slightly. Over a period of time the injector seal blows through. This means instead of diesel being injected into the engine it bypasses and flows back down the return line.

Thanks to the two of you ............

Will see what the garage says on monday ...normally pretty good

just hope it's not damaged driving it back home ....watched the temp gauge and that didn't go up and as said no white smoke so I am hoping that's all it is

maybe the loom to the injectors has gone faulty , we've done a few on the Galaxy with the PD engine in , will give the same symptons
