Race Blue Metallic treatment

Hello all, looking for a bit of advice about caring for my Octy vRS, in the above colour.

I've had it a few months and wash it every week. I have noticed swirl marks all over the paintwork, which i understand are attributable to my poor wash technique, which i will be revising.

The advice i require is how best to polish The Beast and what do i need to do it. I could really do with some step by step advice, as i dont want to make things worse, which historically I am good at doing (ask my wife).

Once it is washed, what next? I'd like it to get it back to the 'just left the showroom' state.

Any help appreciated.

Tom, I have got a race blue Mk2 and I wash mine using the much talked about 2 bucket method and use Poorboys soap n suds and then use Poorboys spray n shine to keep it shiny, and spent some cash on Poorboys super thick waffle weave towels (micro fibres) for drying with and they are much better than Chammy's.

Some people have the knack to do detailing, claying, etc etc, I don't so I got a guy in (Iain from Finer Details) and my routine is get him in every 6 months to do a proper detail on the car, remove minor swirls and put a good coat of wax on the car and then just maintain it myself in between with careful washing and drying.

I have seen some Poorboys stuff on a website somewhere, will check it out. I had considered taking my car to the valet people that my Skoda dealership use, wasnt sure how much it would cost, but if its in the region of
