Part Number for Xenons

Featured Replies

Can anyone supply the part numbers for OE Xenon Headlight units - UK versions.

I am assuming that LHD and RHD units will be different so want to be sure I have the correct part numbers for UK units.

There are two variants.

Whats the plans?

Wont be cheap

And very not possible if you are thinking retrofit.

Unless im much mistaken thats a Superb headlight.

It would be cheaper to change your car for one with xenons I recon :)

The headlamps are £488 each alone. Not to mention the wiring and senders on the suspension.

But it may not be a retrofit enquiry.

The reason I ask is that I bought a pair of Octy 2 headlights from Ebay - the price was too good to miss - and now they have arrived they are definitely brand new and unused Octy 2 light units but they have Black rears, held on by T20s as well as the clips, which have what appear to be metal ballasts inside. They also appear to have very unusual main bulbs fitted and different (to my normal lights) bulb connectors for the other lamps.

My only thought was that I have bought a pair of Xenons if so I am not sure what to do with them - are they a straight replacement, the connector looks the same.

Any ideas anyone

No they are not a straight replacememnt sadly.

How much did you pay for those?

If it is not possible to simply replace my standard units then it looks like I might need to resell them so I don't want to answer that.

I will take and post a couple of pics tomorrow in the hope that someone can identify exactly what I have and get an idea of what they might be worth - I can then look to put up a classified. If they are indeed Xenon units then hopefully they should be of interest to anyone who already has them and needs a spare or two.

tell me te numbers on the ones you have.

Hi VRStu - the numbers on the Units are:

LHS - 1Z2 941 017E 4SHX-13006-CD

RHS - 1Z2 941 018E 4SHX-13005-CD

Both - 00HR 00CD and PL (E8 in circle) 20

Hope this helps as though they came in genuine Skoda boxes there is no part number on the boxes

May well be of help to a memder on here :)

Yep they are Xenons.

Have moved to a Classified Post.

VRStu where did you get the price you quoted from, as the local dealer has just quoted me £286.95 for a replacement Xenon headlight unit.

It will be off his copy of ETKA.

If you have got the lights for not much then how much are the sensors and what else would you need?

I know on the MK I there are the ones on the front struts and some wiring, I guess a set of light washers if you don't already have them. Since you have an elegance you would have the washers.

Plus a control unit linked into the CANBUS network etc

I'm not a Skoda tecky so have no idea what else is required to upgrade to Xenons only that others on the forum have said that the light units are not straight swops for standard ones.

maybe others can answer these Qs
