How long from order to delivery?

Featured Replies

What is the average time from order to delivery, or is it very much model dependent?

Thanks.

It's going to depend on how far you delve into the options list. You would need to speak to a dealer.

My factory order arrived at the dealer today which I think is about 7 weeks after the order was placed.

Mine will be 10 weeks when collected tomorrow. Thats with quite a few options.

Some options have longer lead times than others.

Any ideas for a bog standard 2007 L&K estate 2.0TDI with Sunset privacy glass?

I am hoping to order a new L&K so on the one hand it is fully loaded, but they are standard and not options....

I could be lucky and get one already in stock but then with my luck probably not!!!

Watch out for some old model L&K's that might be lurking in the system.

I've opted for sunset glass to avoid that happening. It's one of only 4 options available now.

(Front PDC, sunroof and sat nav are the others)

I did think about the front sensors as the only option I would consider.

I presume you had a test drive before you ordered or are you a life-long Octavia owner? How are the 17" wheels on the L&K (if you know!)?

The L&K i've "ordered" is a company car, my current car is an Elegance so I know roughly what I am letting myself in for.

It will be my 3rd Octavia (1 Mk1 and 2nd MkII) in 2 years.

:eek::rofl:

If you need front parking sensors, you either need glasses or a test re-sit! ;)

LOL, there are plenty of better options for the cash....

From DC Cook....nearly 5 months!!

But you pay for a 56 plate and get an 07 by the time they get around to delivering it...

5 months!!!! Why so long?

I thought I had a long wait with 11 weeks!

I recently took delivery of my vRS TDI with a long list of options including dual climate/jumbo, xenons, parking sensors, maxidot, cruise, and heated seats.

It was ordered 1st Feb and delivered on 29th March exactly eight weeks, order to delivery.

They said, that my car will be produced in 16th week. Mayby you get your car in end of April they said. Car was ordered in March 28.

As I was told, they changed one car that the dealership had orderd themselves. Otherwise I should wait 2 months. I give up the ESP. Who needs it anyway?

At least I have the megagigaecoestateskoda :D 1,9 TDI

I have been told 10-12 weeks for my L&K with sunset glass by the lease company

They said they have 8 siler L&K's in thier stock and you can bet they are the old spec L&K so my response was..................... "no, I'll wait 3 months thanks"

Ordered mine on Fed 2nd and picked her up on the 23rd March. added Heated seats, Headlamp washers, 18" Wheels upgrade, Sunblind.

7 weeks was class i thought as I was told to expect a lot longer.

Well worth the wait....

Looks like I have asnwered my own question now! Ordered Octavia on Saturday 14th April and it should be here (fingers, legs etc crossed) by about nthe 28th, so 2 weeks.

That must be an off the shelf with no extras?

Yes, there were 2 available. But with the L&K what option would I want-its a nice spec car! Can't wait now!

The other colour available was yours - anthracite which I like but the wife was set on black. Who is doing all the cleaning though? Yep, me!
