Hi all, found this forum whilst searching for solution to Octavia problem and it looks like a good site. I've just taken delivery of a new Octavia Cassic Estate as a company car which is my 2nd Octavia since October (lease company messed up and supplied a hatchback first time round). this time the transport manager overlooked the alarm pack option and cos it doesn't even have remote locking the dealer says its impossible to upgrade to a factory alarm or even upgrade to remote locking which would allow an aftermarket thatcham kit to be fitted. Does any one know different. HELP

Have you tried putting the key in the drivers door lock , turn and hold the key, this should lock / unlock all the doors. ?

We do have a couple of Skoda sales guys here who should be able to confirm alarm / locking.

The keys in the door work fine, ie courtesy opening and closing of the windows by turning and holding the key in the lock on either ffont door and the ability to unlock one door or all doors, it doesn't have a remote key fob which is required for thatcham catagorised alarms.
