Front 312 brakes ... what about the back??

Featured Replies

there has been alot of good comments about the bigger front brake set up but what about the back??

do you not get a front to rear brake imbalance causing a stability issue under some braking conditions?

Is there a larger rear set up you can bolt on the rear to balance things out? or is it not needed?

Not needed as the rear brakes do feck all anyway.

No balance issues as the ABS sorts all that out. In fact doing anything to the rears is a little pointless as they dont do a lot anyhow.

From a LOOK point of view could anything be done?? Pointless yes but as for looks, Like on an RS4 the Brakes look Big both front and back. You get my point.

i was told by a clever boy once that big rear brakes can be nowt but trouble as you can get the rear being over braked so unstable and/or as the rear brakes do next to nothing relative to their potential they can seize easily :)

I won't be modding mine. :) Well, not size wise because you can't. I've stuck el-cheapo discs and pads back there when I needed to. No point spending money on areas of the car which do nowt. Spent it on 4 pot brembos for the front instead.
