Hi. Almost one year on with a 1.9TDI (105 HP) Octavia DSG estate which replaced a Golf IV estate. The Octavia beats the Golf in very respect excpet perhaps front seat comfort. Bought the car (privately) 7 months and 7K miles old. Now 21K miles, and (touch wood!) only fault so far a blown fuse. Will be driving it to Prague (via ferry to Hook of Holland) in May. Cheers.
