Insurance for learning to drive

Featured Replies

We have been given a old n reg fiesta 1.1 (good old mum mum  ) for my missues to learn to drive

How do we go about insurance

has she got to learn on my insurance :thumbdwn:

or does she get insurance on her own with me as a named driver:thumbup:

i think she got a quote from tesco for

I just got SWMBO her own insurance when she was learning too, (Same car but a 1.3) and it was cheap too, might as well start earning NCB.

I think legally the car has to be insured for the driver, so if your insurance says "Any driver" with no clauses you will be ok, but most will have a 25+ clause or require a named driver
