Karcher Foam Lance thingys

Featured Replies

I just got one of these and even when using it with the standard hose pipe adapter (the pressure washer lid broke :( ) it was pretty impressed.

It puts a nice thick foam all over then car when i used it with the Zymol wash, and did 5 cars (All of the family, plus their associated other halves cars, but not mine  ).

Not bad all said and done and means you can get rid of that annoying dusty build up from your car without having to get down with the wash mitt and bucket. If you want to give it a really good wash then the spray over first then use the mitt seems that it would reduce fine scratching too :)

Well worth while product IMHO

Got one of these to last week with 5L of snow foam wich stinks of fish :o

Theres somthing really funny about the amount of foam beeing sprayed on the car

Used it on the engine and underside of the bonnet this weekend and made it a really easy job just cover it in foam and aggrivate it a bit with a brush &/or washmit

I got one of the Autobright ones and its awesome.

Car needs washing as it is so hopefully i can have some foam gun fun sometime this week

I have a 'detergent' setting on my pressure washer, that puts a fairly good foam layer on thecar, if the detergent bottle is concentrated enough.........I take it the foam lance is a bit different though!

yep, pressurised water passes over a nozzle sucking up detergent of your choice (doesn't have to be pressure washer specific) and spraying a large foamy mass onto the car. :D

Yes I would...

But be careful as `halfwords` claimed the 3 for 2 didn't cover pressure washer accessories, and then gave in when i corrected them on their signs and the lack of clarity on that.

I used it with a hose pipe adapter as we are awaiting a part for the pressure washer and even that worked well. :)

Looks exactly the same as the karcher thing to me right down to the plastic nozzle at the end.

The difference being that the one you link to is part metal with a clear bottle and costs 3 times as much.

The karcher one used almost no detergent. 1 cap full of Zymol wash was enough for 5 cars and I still had some left from the lance to put in a jar for when my parents want to wash their car next.

As for foaming more.. I'm not sure how that is possible. I havn't seen so much foam on a car, it looked like it had heavily snowed on the things

Looks very similar if not the same as the AutoBright foam lance that i have and its the daddy.

Provided it doesnt rain tomorrow when i was my car i get some photos of how good the foam is

Dont know then

Cant really compare without pictures

I thought the karcher bottle i had was good untill i got the lance

the lance does have a ajustable nosille to change the jet out of the end

and a dial on the side to ajust the dilution ratio

anything over half way and its almost shaving foam

spray it over the car and you cant tell the difference between windows metal or wheels its all just white

only thing i can think is they have changed the karcher ones reacently and are a lot better now

I've not treid the one you suggested but I'd have to agree with this statement ... My karcher one of these sucks water melons through oil filters :D I have to fill it several times just to do a single car and the foam is more like white water.

Does the Snow Foam strip wax?

Nope

When i can be bothered to go and wash mine (Just done my dad's Scooby) ill post up some photos of the foam that you get

quite fancy getting one of these as I can never seem to get enough suds on the mitt. does anyone have a particular model they use and does the water have to be heated?

As I hav'nt got anything else better to do today, just went and washed my car using one of these..............................

The Zymol was coming out proper thick compared to that, but that's still enough foam for me :)

Thats what a foam lance with Megs Gold Class and Chemical Guys Citrus Wash does

I can get similar results with the built in bottle on my Karcher, but tend to run it with the detergent watered down 4-1, or it uses a full litre in about 3 mins.

Phil

thick foam is always the key though
