My Octavia 1.9TDI Estate is coming up to 4yrs old and whilst I'm having no problems with th Climatronic aircon I figure it might be time to have it checked over and regassed if required. I have someone local who can do it reasonably, he normally works on aircon on farm machinery. What I need to know is how many g's of coolant/gas is required. I've looked in the hand book and had a look round the forum but haven't been able to find the info.

iirc doesnt it say on a sticker on the slam panel eg refridgerant type and wieght, at least it does on my car

Thanks for the info. I've been and looked under the bonnet again and yes there is the sticker telling me it's 750g of refrigerant. Now why didn't I see it when I looked before?
