:finger: feckin potholes!!

next door yesterday noticed that one of my 2 month old front continentals had a nice bulge in it and as my spare was completely bald!! Because couldnt source a conti anywhere near glasgow I had 2 put on two goodyear f1 jobbies.

now 200 quid worse off:thumbdwn:

have sent the bulged one back to continental to see if theyll replace the tyre or give me some cash back but maybe I shouldnt hold my breath!!

might start driving slower so I can see these holes!!

Best thing you could have done getting rid of the Conti's ;) Btw, if you remember which pothole it was on the road then you could always try complaining to your council (who should cough up for the replacement tyre)

Chris

i ve got a bulge on the inside of tyre , only done 4000 miles , is it a warrenty claim

Why is that out of interest? I've got four on my car and have not had any problems. They've covered 13000 miles and still have lots of rubber left.

deffo wont be a warranty claim through Skoda , you could approach the tyre manufacturer but i would imagine all they will say is "you've hit something" whether it be debris, pothole or whatever , they would be able to tell when they examined the tyre and may charge you for the trouble

i ve got tyre replace after dealer contacted skoda , i ve left old tyre with dealer to send back to continentel

They have less grip than the Michelin Primacies (which are rubbish imvho) and refuse to wear out so they can be replaced! I've heard of several of them bulging and there was a post in the Octy forum about it a little while ago I think saying it was a common problem.

tyres wont be under warrenty as they are a wearing part!

Chris

you are right about the Premacys , they just wont wear out , the ones on the rear have done the best part of 43k miles and 1 track day :D , i measured the depths the other night , 4.5mm was the lowest reading
