Powertec Induction Kit? + Electronic Throttle

Featured Replies

First question is: Does my Octavia vRS have an electronic/drive by wire throttle?

Its a July 2001 model.

2nd Question: Is the airbox on an Audi TT180/225 in the same position as the Octy vRS?

I've had a look at Powertec induction kits and they don't have a listing for the Octy but they do for the TT so i was assuming that they both have the same intake system then i could jus order the kit for the TT and fit it 2 the Octy.

If no one can clarify this then i will visit my local Audi dealer and have a sniff under the bonnet of a TT! :)

Cheers

Doesn't anyone have any idea?!

Have you tried looking in the FAQs? I'm sure the answer to 1) is in there... as for 2), go visit your friendly Audi dealer ;)

You need to find out the engine code...the FAQ will tell you how to do it.

I guess the 1.8T is a transverse application in the TT and the airbox is on the rhs as you look at it.

Same engine in Leon Cupra R and that has the airbox on the same side as and Octy RS.

if you look at Jabba's site go down to turbo upgrades then click on the Technical info it gives you the entire spec for the 1.8T engine in all applications.

Also tell you about the throttle system i.e. if its cable or fly by wire

if its any help to anyone, although maybe abit late, but ive got 1 of those power tec sl1 induction kits on miy vrs , they sound cool :) so they do list them now, i got mine from simon at performance driven in taunton :) cheers

The TT 225 engine has a 3 inch MAF, this will effect air filter fitment.
