OEM Combination Roof Ariel for MFD2 - Part number

Featured Replies

Hi,

Just got back from our local dealers after trying to order the OEM combination (radio & GPS) ariel and cable. Unfortunately there are several part numbers to choose from and as I have fitted the MFD2 from another car, he wasn't able to use my chasis number to narrow it down, & I didn't want to order the wrong part and not to be able to retun it!

The under dash GPS antenna has been ok, but could be improved, and as i'm pulling the dash appart to fit a Denison Gateway 400, I may as well go the whole way & drop the headlining as well!

Any ideas on part numbers I need would be appreciated, I'm sure that some of you guys & girls will be able to narrow it down further. i've got an early vRS hatch , if that helps :D

I can only see one listed for the MKII Octy - 1U0 035 507 A

Thanks VRStu, I'll be able to sort out the ariel on Monday. :D

Any ideas on which of the cables I would need? I was told there were 3 that were listed. I don't want or need the phone cable, but do need the one with both GPS & Radio fittings.

Cheers again

A little warning though - Don't assume I am 100% right with the part number.

I think a PM to superted might save you a few quid.

I am assuming one wishes to go for the external OEM type panel mount antenna?

If you only want the GPS part supported you will only need one cable, this will need an end termination FAKRA to interface with the MFD2.

You will also only need to adapt the AM/FM cable with the antenna, you will also need the adaptor lead.
