Looking forward to taking ownership of a 2nd hand Fabia vrs in the next few days, taking a trip up to Jabbasport in the next few weeks to have a custom remap, full exhaust, sachs clutch, ARB and maybe Eibach springs and dampers .... will post somewhere and let people know how it goes :-)

So do I really :-) I actually budgeted for mods when I took loan for car lol - info from the forum has proved invaluable - hence I thought I had better stop lurking and start contributing in some way ....

Thats some nice mods your investing in! Do you have a specific car in mind yet - you might find that a fair number already have some of them mods.

Out of interest, what sort of price range would you expect to pay on a 2nd hand one and would you expect to pay more or less for one with some of the mods already done?

I have just gone out today and purchased a red 53 plate vrs with 23K on the clock and very well looked after. I P/X'd my old car - a lightly modified '51 plate MGZR 160 for 4K and paid 4.5K on top which I thought was a reasonable price all things considered.

I had not considered buying one that had already been modified as, having done some searching, had not really found any.

With all of that behind me I am now getting insurance sorted etc to pick up in 10 days time. Following that I think a phone call to Jabbasport is in order ...
