Passenger Air Vent

Featured Replies

I recently took my car to the local Skoda Dealers to have the coolant and oil level checked as it seems to be consuming quite a lot.

Whilst there I asked for them to check a squeak sound from around the glovebox - the sound is like when you spin a rubber shoe on a shiny surface... reminds me of being 6 again.

Nothing mentioned about the noise - no fault found - however, they did say I needed a new air vent. as the technician had already left for the day it left both myself and the Lady confused  . The obvious thing wouls have been a broken slat - but all's well

Today I have final realised what the sound and air vent replacment are for... not that I have heard from the dealer regarding the replacment item.

The noise has driven me insane - I have removed all items from the car and the noise can still be heard - open glovebox, shut it, hold it open, hold it closed - still the sound....

if I depress the dash (above the glovebox and next the passenger air vent) the noise occurs... so that explains the noise.

Anyone else had the passenger air vent replaced ?

Does it pop out in a similar fashion to the double one above the radio?
