1st service due

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

1st service due on my Fabia vrs in 1100 miles according to the service indicator.

Would like some advice on were to take it and how much it is likley to cost etc..

as its remaped should i take the green airfilter and cupra intake off and revert back to stock ??

Had the car from new (car supermarket nov06) no major probs apart from slight nsf knock from suspension, and it eating the front tyres.

just get a gut feeling that SUK dealer will try and be arsy with me because i have a car imported from malta and not from there stock list...

Motorpoint?

To be honest, if there is no uneven wear on the tyres it might be a combination of the remap and your driving ;) I got 18k out of my factory tyres, some get more, some get less.

You still have a warranty but I think it's limited and a dealer should be able to tell you either way where you stand with it. I know someone with a Motorpoint VRS that has had a new EGR fitted under warranty by the dealer so all is not lost.

Also, you could look round on the site, there are many fine independents who will do a quality servicing job for you!

Cheers for that mate, yes it was from motorpoint, but ive never seen the EGR stutter to be that much of a prob so never bothered going down that route.

Live in Derby and wondered if anyone had used motor-plus ? and if so whether a large indipendent like that would compromise my warranty.

Bottom line is, don't really wanna go to SUK (Clock garage) in case they see tyre wear and come to the same conclusion = remap.
