Well, it's here! About 8 weeks from ordering, I picked up my Elegance PD140 on Saturday and what a cracking car it is! Here's some pictures:

I'm off work next week and will not be able to drive so I have an ideal opportunity to read the owner's manual and find out how everything works! I'll also be signing up as a Freedom member as the amount of useful information I've got from the site in the past few months more than pays for the subscription!

Yep, that' sthe colour - I originally wanted a Graphite Grey Elegance (which this colour has replaced) and I'm really pleased with the darker shade of Antracite.

Already friends having been dis-believing that I have bought a Skoda (especially as I have kept my BMW as a run-around!) but those which have seen it or had a ride in it have been very, very surprised that it's nothing like a Skoda Estelle (no disrepect meant - after all I owned two of them many years ago) in terms of quality or quirkiness. Their next comment has been "of course, it's really just a VW I guess" - well maybe, but it still has some real Skoda individuality

Yes, well spotted! Its a badge from ALS Autos of Little Downham near Ely, Cambs. TBH I would have preferred to have been asked if I minded having it stuck on my rear (so to speak) but as they were good to deal with and I got the car for a reasonable price, I'm not that bothered.

Oh, and don't worry I'll be trawling the entire forum picking up tips - especially mastering Maxidot!
