I have a question. Does anyone know how much a replacement passenger side wing mirror and passenger side window will be for a Fabia VRS SE?

Went out for a walk yesterday down by the canals in the West Mids and someone hit the wing mirror (which shattered) and it appears they did it in a way that the mirror then ground against the window.

And to cap it all, my pride and joy received its first wash and wax etc yesterday (I gave it the works) and I found a stone chip (albeit a very small one) on the bonnet. I had a 206 for three years with not so much as a scratch. I've only had it for three weeks and I have had a weekend of calamity. Does anyone have a link for stone chip repair on Racing Blue VRS's?

At least the guy left his number. I wouldn't expect that from many people nowadays.

I think I have the Monday morning blues (I could be wrong tho) .

Sorry to hear about that. Although it's good to hear that the culprit left their number.

I wouldn't worry too much about the stone chip. The paint quality on new cars is pretty rubbish so it won't be long before more appear.

Hope you have more luck than me in getting a replacement mirror - mine took 2 weeks :(

As to the cost, it depends on how much is broken and whether you can fix it yourself. Does the motor still work? Is the bracket damaged? Think the whole unit fitted is around

I never thought to check the motor or the bracket (Doh!). I'll have a look tonight. My wifes got the car at the mo. She is taking it to the garage to see if they can give us some idea of the cost. Not sure that they will tho cos I'm not sure they do bodywork there (Skoda, Kings Heath Birmingham).

Kings Heath (All Electric) Skoda, do body work IIRC. I've had a couple of warranty dealings with them and are a good bunch.

Hello and welcome to Briskoda. I can't help, but have to say that it's downright bad luck. Most of us only only suffer from bird droppings after cleaning the car.

mluton, thanks for the number. I was in there on Saturday cos I forgot to leave them with the rest of the deposit when I picked the car up a few weeks back. They got a bit of a kicking from head office apparently.

heresmo, I've had the bird droppings to. There was a nice fresh one down the drivers side window waiting for me on Sunday morning. Luckily thats when I'd planned to clean it anyway.

Starting to feel a bit better about it now. Came in to work under a dark cloud this morning. It didn't help that I drove my wifes Hyundai Getz into work. Switching from a 1.9 TDi down to a 1 Litre makes the drive a bit embarrasing when your trying to keep up with traffic on the dual carriageways.

God, the VRS is good!
