New exhaust system question?

Featured Replies

Hello All,

Just a quick question. I have put a Blueflame full exhaust system plus sports cat on my car and it was brill for the first couple of days. But about a week later I have noticed that there seems to be a loss in power.

Has anybody else experienced this? and would the car need a remap to solve the loss in power.

Loss of power? My friends vRS gained a few BHP after fitting the catback system. Maybe if it wasnt fitted properly there could be some kind of hole or something in the system causing a loss in power, but i dont know. Hopefully someone with a bit more knowledge will be able to help.

Or have you got used to the extra pull it gives?

Or it could be unrelated to the exhaust.

Could be that Ive got used to the extra pull but its a strange one. I think a visit to rolling roads will sort it or at least shut me up for a while.

Remove the Cat.

Remove the Cat.

Damn right.

maybe

IMO the weather's got warmer and there's less water vapour in the air as it's finally stopped raining.
