I am hoping that you Skoda owners can help with my Intermitent problem!

I have had my Skoda VRS 170BHP Diesel for 5 months after 800 miles I had the good guys from the AA out the exhaust relay failed, which was rectified by my dealer. Hooray I thought but since then my Lovely car has run terrible, however my dealer cannot help as this fault is intermitent and fails to appear when the car reachers the forecourt I must state It shows no warning lights

Please if anyone else has experinced this fault I would welcome feed back

Ask your dealer to check for fault codes on the ECU, if there are any generated, this should guide the dealer to the problem.

Also try and keep a log of dates & times of the fault, to see if it occurs at a specific time after starting / running the car, and a full description as possible of the event.

This may help the dealer resolve.

Because it fails to show a warning light doesn't mean there isn't a record of anything happening.

If you divulge your location then there might be a member who has the equipment to take a look for you.

The relay was a common fault on the early TDi's.
