Hi there. I'm looking for some clues to a weird noise from my vRS. Yesterday when i started it, it ran ok-ish, but there was a klaklaklaklaklak knocking noise from the engine too. When I moved off there was more noise - wife said it was like someone emptying a bin into a dustbin lorry. I parked the car and wondered what to do, went away, came back, stared it and it was still the same. When I stared driving this time there was a brief hesitation from the engine and then it was suddenly ok after that - no noise, everything as normal.

Any ideas?

I've had the "running fine-hesitation-bag of spanners noise-ok again" sequence once or twice recently.

have you been putting Tesco fuel in it?!
