When i had my Wndoze PC i used a program called WinAVI to convert DivX, Xvid etc to DVD format.

Since i got my Mac i have just been using Toast to do this, however i find that the results are not up to the same quality as WinAVI was.

So i am looking for something that is better at encoding video files than Toast, and preferably free:rofl:

I am using it for re-encoding episodes of certain TV programmes that i download form the net using bittorrent.

Any ideas?
