Slight Judder at idle

Featured Replies

Hi folks

Dunno if its just me but every so often when my car is sat at idle i get a slight judder and the rev counter needle moves ever so slightly. its as if the fuel isnt burning properly or something. its hard to explain it without you being sat in the car. This only happens once the car is warmed up and i only notice it when im sat at a set of traffic lights or in traffic etc. Its not the fuel as i use 100 octane fuel and ive tried 95, 97 and 98 octane an it still does the same. i even had the car doing 153mph (according to my tom tom) to see if it was just because it had been doing short jouneys and needed a good blast to clean the system out. But it still did it. Before anyway says that illegal i live in germany and its perfectly legal on the autobahn:P

Is this normal as the car is only 3 months old and has covered 2800 miles. Everything else is fine with the car. no loss of power, acceleration or warning lights etc

Cheers in advance

Carl

Mine does it as well and in addition from cold runs rough, almost as if it is off one pot - bought it back to the dealer to see if the ecu needed a reflash, they assured me they could not find any fault codes and that there was no new software availible.

However I had both lambda probes replaced, it is now better from cold but still shudders when hot, so unfortunately I can offer you no solutions except to say you are not alone.
