Featured Replies

hi all at last after getting married and moving house in the same year, my warranty has now expired :D great, i have had the motor looked at and been told she is great shape so its now on with the mods.

Have decided to remap via chippedUK as they are local to me and not too expensive plus have RR map ( i have 160 air and K&N)

car is on 17 inch octy mk1 spiders and want to lower her as she looks pretty high presently, insurance is not bothered by cm drop as loaded for remap anyway so now i have looked at the springs and have 3 choices

Agree with Mr Decron - it'll be a 25mm drop on a vRS and the Eibach's are tried and tested and worked really well. I also opted for some Eibach dampers, but if you're feeling a bit flushed, the Koni FSD's are better still. You'll also be wanting a Jabba ARB if you don't have one already too ;)

They may well be fine, but they're not matched to the uprated and shorter springs ;)

It's worth going the whole hog, changing the springs and dampers at the same time.

Eibachs with Koni FSDs seems to be the kit of choice. I've got the Eibach matching dampers which seem to do a good job too. Saves ripping the suspension apart twice and paying someone to do it.

Plus, TBH if you're getting a remap, you want every advantage in keeping the body under control.
