We have a 2001 TDI estate that has now just passed 76,000 miles. Over the last month or so each time the clutch is let in or out when changing gear, the steering gives a little left right twitch. It also does it when tapping the brakes....

I'm thinking along the lines of worn suspension bushes but before I go ahead with any work has anyone else had anything similar and confirm the diagnosis?

Could be out of balance front wheels.
