Claiming Money Back - Out of Warranty

Featured Replies

Mine is in today for New ARB.

Its warranty ran out in February, but the knocking started at the start of the year, but thought nothing of it. Only now its become a rattle, ive had it looked at and having it sorted.

I suppose it will do no harm writing them a letter about this and try and get some money back.

Has anyone claimed money back from Skoda UK for work done just out of warranty ?

as your ARB is a 'wearable' part of the suspension, I wouldn't hold your breath... I had my control arm bushes go whilst still IN warrenty, and skoda refused to do them, as they said it was natural wear and tear...

hell, you may as well try though !

Hi

You could always give it a try

When a noise appears on the car under warranty , it is worth getting the dealer to check it out

Even if they cannot find it ask them to make a note of it on the warranty claim as then if it appears out of warranty then they know that you complained about it before the warranty ran out

Give customer care a call on 0845 7745745 and see what they say

Customer claims from them are very very good (well they was when I did warranty claims) if you had the car from new

Try you never know , the worst they can say is "No"

Indeed; I'd always advise flagging up anything if it occurs during a warranty period.
