Thanks to Ross too, who had to come to my rescue at one point I got stuck. Today, following my exam I thought I would visit the infamous blue elegance fabia TDI in a local scrappie and see what trim I could get off (bearing in mind I have the doorcards now, but none of the other trim) I ended up coming away with:

2 x rear kick trims (bits that hook up to rear speaker mounts

2 x kick trim (the one which goes front front to back)

2 x black covers that go on B pillar over the above bits of trim

2 x "chunky" kickplates for the ends by glovebox/bonnet catch

1 x headlight switch incorporating trim

1 x Radio/Tray/ASR (etc) switch assembly bit

1 x centre column with elegance fold out cupholder at the back.

The bit of black trim that goes between centre column and radio holding bit.

Just have to wonder when to fit, Anyone think I should bring it to do at GTI International?!

Oh, forgot about the shiny handbrake button too. :P

Well, its about an hour tops to fit that little lot, so just do it one sunny evening!

Those metal clips really can be a pain. I don't think theres an easy way to get them out either.

Might have been worth actually seeing what dealer prices are... I know trims not as dear as you'd expect...

I really needed bull nose pliers to get the clips out the metalwork once they'd released the actual trim. There's probably a knack to it, but I just eased, then eased a bit harder, then used all my strength until PING or SNAP!
