Hi yall,

could do with a bit of help with a shopping list for my 140k service and a few jobs i need to get sorted.:confused:

i have a 110 octavia tdi on a 2001 with an ASV code engine.:thumbup:

does anyone know the part numbers for - :confused:

temp gauge sender unit

timing belt, aux belt etc...

what oil code do i need?

is there a turbo recon kit? i.e bearings, seals etc...

also which glow plugs do i need? i've read that there are a couple of lengths.

any help would be spot on!

Cos we don't know any of the answers, other than that there's not normally any such thing as a "turbo recon kit"?

Your oil code depends on which service regime you are following.

Get something that is VW 506.1 or VW507 if you are on variable and you will be fine. This is actually better than the minimum requirement for the TDI 110, but is what the dealers used. (eg SLX Longlife II, Shell Helix Ultra, Millers do one too)

If you are on fixed then you can use another cheaper oil, ask Jason (Devonutopia) what he uses in his furby, I know it's a Millers one, but not which one.

No I have never heard of a "recon kit" but a turbo specialist will probably be able to recon it. What problems are you having could be the MAF which I would change if you haven't in the last 60k.

I would also do the air filter too.

As for your other questions you will need to see a dealer with your chassis number and see if they will be nice enough to quote you for the parts. You can then compare these against your local suppliers.
