Engine Management System

Featured Replies

Hello,

My Skoda Fabia 1.4 Classic is 5 years old and has 55K on the meter.

Last week Engine management system warning sign came on. I got it checked and saw P0441, P0170 and P0130. After I cleared within next 2 days I had to get it checked again and this time I got P130, P170 and P1176.

P0441 - Evaporative emission (EVAP) system - incorrect flow detected

Probable cause - hose connection(s), intake leak, EVAP canister purge valve

P0170 - Fuel trim(FT), bank 1 - malfunction

Probable cause - Intake leak, AIRsystem, fuel pressure/pump, injector(s),

EVAP canister purge valve, HO2S

P130 - Heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) 1, bank1 - circuit malfunction

Probable cause - Heating inoperative, poor connection, wiring, HO2S, ECM

P1176 - Lambda correction after catalyst, Bank1 - control limit reached

Probable cause - Intake leak, HO2S

My Garage mechanic has advised to check with the Skoda dealers. On the phone they said they suspected ERG valve. None of the faults does indicate problem with that valve.

I don't know what this means in terms of sorting out the problem and how much would taht cost? Did anyone else had simillar problem(s)?

Thanks,

Vinay

Possible lambda probe 1 maybe both i'd say.
