Due a service :D

Featured Replies

This being my second car, and the first with service history (full at that) I fancy keeping it up.

The car was last serviced at 39500 miles on the 26/6/2006 , and had cam belts changed at 41335 (5/10/2006). So I think its due one this month;)

Anywho, popped down a couple of days ago to the dealers and was told the annual service price is

It's worth getting every car serviced no matter how old... but not neccesarily at the main dealer unless something very specialist needs doing!

It's definately worth keeping the service history up to date , although whether you want to go to a main dealer or a VAG independant is entirely up to you. My old V reg has a full set of stamps in its book from the same garage it was bought from (even though they are no longer anything to do with Skoda , just a 'Skoda Specialist').

Yeah, it was bought from a proper Skoda dealer and consistantly serviced at the same place so it would look nicer if it kept getting the same stamp right through:thumbup:

It depends why you're doing it. I don't think you'll help the resale by doing it - most people will just check it's been serviced on time, but if you can afford to, then why not :D

ditto what he said. Don't think you'll be 'making yourself money', but do ensure you keep to the relevant servicing schedules.

Would be going to an independent if it were mine, at that age. Either a VAG/Skoda specialist, who hopefully has been recommended.
