driving back from tesco(other supermarkets are available) tonight a strange grinding noise from below started so i slowed down a bit and it went away a little further on i heard a clonk and saw something fly out so im none the wiser.... car feels fine..... should i be worried?

could have been a trapped stone......

Stone trapped beteween the brake disc and cover? Does make a heck of a grinding noise and will make a clonk when it gets thrown out.
