Discovered this morning that my blower fan is only working on positon 4, anyone any ideas before I have to head for Dundee to the Dealer?

Heater resistor pack pretty well covered on here and how to change it.

Sorry for lack of info there, its a fabia vRS, had a look behind the switch tonight , get 12v at position 4 and around 3 at the rest if that helps, will search for resistor pack.

Wont be the switch, it will be the resistor pack

Remove the glovebox and the resistor pack is up to the right, quite straight forward to replace. Is the car under warranty?

Glad it wasn't just me I had the same problem

was under warranty though so just took it back and never asked what the exact problem was.

Was just happy I didn't need to blow my head off when steaming up.
