A mate at work has seen an Oct'y 1.9tdi Elegance for sale and is interested,

The car can be seen here follow the stock list link to Skoda,

Apart from the cambelt what else should he look for? The car has done 85,000miles.

check the air con is working, door electrics, wipers, and all the usual tyres, brakes etc

:iagree: and I've got one too. Ask about old paperwork too.

When checking tyres, check that they're worn evenly, or at least only showing scrub from enthusiastic cornering!

2017 octavia 2.0 tdi . smoke from exhaust, whistling noise from turbo, burning oil. smoke looks whiteish/blueish. turbo pipes all ok. burning alot of oil. no fault codes or eml lights. only light on dash is orange oil can light

Hi, The boot release switch in the tailgate keeps getting stuck. I've tried blowing it out with compressed air etc but have just purchased this part. Is the skoda scala slave cylinder concentric and located inside the gearbox for all models, or is it just the 1.5 engine which doesn't have it on the outside of hte gearbox? I'm seeing different reports about whether the gearbox needs to be removed to check or replace it on a 1.0 litre engine.

First time starting a project thread, bear with me... Heard about this Roomster not too far from me that might be heading for a scrapyard, and decided to try to acquire it.
