WMP & Pocket PC error.

Featured Replies

Hi,

Every time Windows Media Player 11 loads I get a pop up message -

'Your device is using an outdated driver that is no longer supported by Windows Media Player. For additional assistance, click Web Help.'

This pop up relates to my Pocket PC, Ipaq 2210 which uses Windows 4.20.0.

Is there a free update that supports WMP? Or can I switch this message off?

Thanks,

Jon.

Is there music stored on memory card ?

I sometimes get errors relating to DRM on mine. Its running window v5, but i remember reading about the WMDRM folder needing to be deleted on a few versions of Pocket PC.

Delete WMDRM folder from your SD card and in my documents on your PDA to if there is one. Reboot the PDA. Then try WMP.

Let me know how you get on

The version of WMP on the 2210 is not compatible with mediaplayer 11 on the PC. The 2210 is no longer supported and there is no update / nor will there be an update available.

I should know, I also have a 2210 and have spent many hours trying to find a solution.

Thought you meant WMP on your PDA, not Windows on your machine. Sorry.
