Adjusting lights for driving abroad

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm trying to adjust my headlights on a 52 plate 1.4 Fabia Estate to drive in France. The manual helpfully says that I should place opaque tape over the marked area on the lens of the headlight. But there is no marked area. Does anyone have any idea or diagram of where the tape should be placed? I've looked at 'beam benders', but they are also equally vague on where their product should be placed.

Thanks

David

IIRC you can buy headlamp protectors from skoda with the correct benders allready fitted.

Personally I wouldn't bother especially if its short trip, after all you don't see many europeans driving around with tape on their lights over here.

However, theres a template on here that helps to correctly locate the correct position. I printed this out and took sum tape just in case. :)

When you say 'on here', do you have a link, as I can't locate the diagrams.

Thanks

David

You can get a sticker from Halfords that attaches to your headlight.

Works well and is cheap.

DONT adjust your lights!!
