Puddle in footwell

Got to work this morning to find a puddle in the footwell on the passengers side, thought i had knocked my coffee over, but hadnt. Had a look tonight and there seems to be lots of water between the door and car body, the rubbers going around the door seems to be fitted correctly and to the same standards as the rest of the doors (but not as good as previous cars).. Any ideas how to cure this as im not happy that a new car should leak water in as easy as this has.
