With a VAG COM, can you check your service settings ?

Is there a chance the garage could have not set an interval or does it have to be Fixed (10k) or Variable (2yr, 20K, Indicator) ?

You have to set either fixed or variable.

1st way of setting it is in the coding of the dash. Five digit code, iirc its..

XXX1X for variable

XXX2X for fixed

Channels in adaption will also tell you

42 min miles

43 max miles

44 time

45 oil quality (1 fixed, 2 or 4 longlife depending on engine).

As long as it has to be set to something thats good.

Ive exceeded the 10,000 miles, so it cant be set to fixed, but not 12 months since last sevice. It was serviced as Variable at last service at 37,000 miles.

I only do short journeys, so im kind of exspecting it to come on soon and just reaching 50,000 miles i was wondering wheather to wait till the service light or go ahead and set it to fixed early.:confused:
