Stream Stopped

Featured Replies

Today had a really weird problem.

Stream was working fine wasnt on loud or anything. Anyway went to a friends to drop some stuff off.Turned car off. Got back in car and when i started up everything was working but no sound whatsoever from either MP3, CD Changer or radio. tried volume pressed all buttons. Had to turn engine off and leave for 2 mins then it worked

Anyone else experienced this. Car is only 4 months old

I had the same thing the other week. Turned the engine off and all was well?

I would think it either needs the radio flash programming or a new unit.

Mine doesn't eject an MP3 disk. New stream MP3 unit is on the way

Exactly the same fault - Stream went off for a couple of days, then returned as if nothing had happened. No fault since (6 months ago)

Must be a common fault.

Mine done this also about twice now since new (March).

Display stays on as if still playing etc. but no sound. I thought this was probably my Parrot handsfree kit, which the speakers now map though; probably not now. I did have rock music playing quite loud on both occasions , but not excessive.

I found turning ignition off and back on remedied the 'fault', but not best ever solution when you're blitzing down the M6 for an hour and a half! (made use of the new found silence to improve my whistling)

What with weak reception and now this it strikes me this is one piece of very dodgy equipment and I for one will be glad to see the back of mine as the radio is virtually useless outside of peak transmitter areas.

The first time my Octy II Vrs went in for it's creaking suspension ( see other posts ) they did a software upgrade on the Stream which was apparently part of a recall ?

May be completely unconnected, but my system has been fine since - car now 8 months old.

Although to be fair it didn't misbehave before though.

Mine's just been in for 1st service, the recall was for too much bass apparently. Mine did sound a wee bit distorted on some tunes, seems better now.

I didn't know it was for that - cheers, made me laugh though, I thought it was for something serious !

Although I did wonder why my windows fell out when I played "Guns of Brixton" by The Clash !

LoL, i dont think people expect to hear thumping bass from a passing Skoda!
