Front Brakes

Featured Replies

went to clean my alloys today and realised that on the front, that wen the wheel are fitted, they dont spin particularly freely, is this normal for fabias? just that on my dads nissan note, u give the wheel a spin and they stay spinning for few seconds after u let go. but not on my furby. thought maybe the brakes were rubbing or whether this is the norm.

A slight drag is normal. God knows what is going on on the nissan.

What Fabia is it?

1.2 64bhp comfort

Could be a sticky caliper or a stuck pad but to be honest a little drag isnt out of the ordinary, aftr all your turning the gearbox/diff.

you always get a little from the front on a fwd car due to the the gearbox and driveshafts

yeah, my old man, despite not bein a mechanic reckons that theyre rubbing and thats decreasing my mpg. the wheels are quite stiff to turn

Jack it up take the wheel off, then pull the caliper piston back a bit so the calipers are free and then spin the wheel when its back on, see if its any different.
