Used VRS v New Swift

Featured Replies

Right for my new car in September is going to be my chance to buy a 3 year old hot hatch or a sensible 1.5 Swift with 3 year warranty.

I am looking for a 54/05 reg VRS for under 9 grand at a dealers where I will get a 1 year warranty. I test drove a swift last month which comes in at about

Brand new Swift Sports in the Milton Keynes Suzuki dealer going for

Panda 100bhp?

I'd be sorely tempted at under 10k

It has got to be under 9 grand, I had thought about the Panda it rather have a bigger car safe wise.

The panda 100 is a cracking drive, and better value than the swift, I've driven both (the swift sport, 115 bhp) and I'd have the panda 100.........

but then again, i would still reccomend the vRS if you can find a decent dealer to look after you......

Panda is still a 3-star EuroNCAP car though so not too bad. They do still have a few electrical gremlins though, although no worse than the Fabia :D

I'm with Ross and would be seriously tempted by the Swift. Or, as a wild card, how about a Micra 1.6 SR. 06 and 56 plate examples are available with very few miles for 9 grand....

I am wanting a car with 5 doors and good economy. I was looking to buy a 1.9 TDI but it would be nice if I could get a VRS.

So if you have made your mind up you were asking what exactly?...lol

You guys with VRS's know what they are like, for those of you who have 3yr old VRS's do they still run ok.

Have you seen Decrons car on here? 55 plate vRS, lots of extras...

that counts the Swift Sport out , i believe you need to use 98RON petrol also :(

VRS or the Panda 100hp , if you need the space buy the Fabia

Can you get a 5 door Swift Sport? I thought they were only 3 doors? I like them actually , cheap plastic inside doesnt bother me , and I quite like the thought of an 'Old School' type of warm hatch.

No 3dr only that was ric's point I think. But 5dr wasnt a stipulation in the original post.
