VRS knocking noise

Featured Replies

Hello everyone

I have a VRS with a knocking noise on the front of car. When I brake hard in slow traffic I get a noise. I think the fault is with the lowercontrol arm bushes. I have notice that the VW polo suffer with the lower control arm bushes.

I took the car to my local Skoda dealer and heard the noise, told me that there did not have another car to check with!

Have anyone come across this problem with there VRS

Thanks

The front suspension on the vRS is a bit flimsy as standard. The wishbone rear bushes are usually the culprit on things like this. If it does it on uneven surfaces then it's more than likely ARB related......drop links, bushes or the ARB itself.

Under hard braking in a straight line is either loose/ poor fitting pads in the calipers, worn ARB bushes (seen this before on BMW's) or the wishbone rear bushes.

Have a search for console bushes, could be the source of your woes.
